I am currently listening to a sermon series on Joy. Do you really know what joy is? I ask, because I'm not really sure what joy is. I do know that being happy and having joy are two different things. The bible commands us to "count it ALL joy". Even when we are going through tough times, we are still to be joyful through it, but we may not necessarily be happy about it. I am not happy with my current circumstance, but because I have surrendered my life to Christ, I am finding out what joy is. Pray for me today. I received a very hurtful, accusatory e-mail from my own father last night, and I have been really searching my heart for the right attitude in responding. I need to have a joyful attitude, and the only way I can do that is to remember that my heavenly father picks up where my earthly father left off.
James 1:1-4
2(E) Count it all joy, my brothers,[b] when you meet trials(F) of various kinds, 3for you know that(G) the testing of your faith(H) produces steadfastness. 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be(I) perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Thanks for listening...
